Blessed Sacrament 6th Grade

This week we are focusing on what atoms are made of. We have learned about what philosophers discovered which element of an atom. So far we have studied about four people. For homework we have been getting crossword puzzles, aside from written homework both Mrs. Mischenko and Miss. Dukes encourage us to study the slides. We will soon have a test on this chapter and lesson (4.1). Our class really likes this lesson.

Blessed Sacrament 6th grade science

In the chapter this week (chapter 2), we are learning and focusing on graphs.  The main focus is circle or pie graphs. Later in the month we will learn about the significance of line and bar graphs. We have also been learning about drawings and photographs. We learned that drawings can show hidden objects, and that photographs show objects at one point in time. This chapter will end on Friday and we have a chapter test review on Thursday.

6th Grade Science at Blessed Sacrament School

In sixth grade the two science teachers are Ms. Dukes & Mrs. Mischenko. Both of them have unique ways in teaching a class. We don't have the same boring class everyday, the teachers try to change up the  variety of things we do in class. Some days we have labs,  look over slides, and do group work. The purpose of labs are to work in a group and experiment. This includes group effort and independent note taking. Meanwhile we are in the class reviewing over slides. The slides include the material for that chapter and lesson. Every other week we usually have a test and on big chapters we have a unit test. The two great teachers cooperate and work together so they can make sure their students are having the most fun they can while learning science.
